The 2011 ALMS Season, along with the Intercontinental Le-Mans Cup (ILMC) will be most challenging with a lot of stiff competition in LMP, GT and GT-C classes. The ILMC is a series that involves several endurance races from all over the world. The 12 hours of Sebring and 10 hours of Petit Le-Mans will be part of the ILMC as well the 24 of Le-Mans. Every manufacturer will be making their platform better. Ferrari/Michelloto will bring their F458 GT2 test car as well the ESM Racing F458 GT2. Corvette Racing will test their 2011 C6.R platform, and Porsche GT2 and GT-C Class cars will test as well. Naturally, I and a few Endless Brake US and Japan staff went to support our teams and be involved in the testing of several new things.
Sebring Test Day 1:

Ferrari Test Car making the rounds, supported by Risi Competizione crew.

Testing Endless Brake pads and several Brake equipment options.

1 of 2 ESM Racing F458s that were dialing in settings.

Checking Brake rotor and caliper temperatures using a probe tester. The ESM cars have Endless brake pads as well.

Team CRS with their F430 GT2 from the UK doing testing for ILMC work. This team will only come for the 12 hours of Sebring and Petit Le-Mans.

GMG Racing testing their 2010 Porsche Cup car and logging miles on the brakes to double-check pad wear.

Logging Temperature data on the brake disk and calipers. PMNA (Porsche Motorsports NA ) has decided to go the way of a spec brake package from 1 manufacturer for the 2011 ALMS GT-C Class except for the 12 hours of Sebring. The need to keep costs low and keep racing fair for the GT-C Challenge class is understandable, but I believe teams should be allowed to choose their options.

Corvette Racing logging miles on both the 3 and 4 Cars.

3 Car coming into the Pits

European Corvette Team, "Labre Racing" testing their C6.R for the 12 hours of Sebring (ILMC Series), with the help of Pratt & Miller Engineering.

Sebring Test Day 2:

Early Morning testing by ESM Racing. Also testing F430 GT vs F458 GT as well.

Some testing on the Risi side of F430 GT and F458 GT as well.

A lot of intensive testing and data logging by various equipment suppliers, and the Krohn Racing team. This Ferrari was one of the fastest cars in the test session. Krohn has a lot of experience when it comes to building endurance racing cars.

Down pit road, and the rain about to roll in.

Corvette Racing in the paddock.

Endless racing brake disks after over 1600 miles of race and test abuse. Testing is the most hard on disks as the temperature fluctuates up and down. Fading red thermo-paint shows the disks were seeing temperatures well over 600 degrees C on the rotor cheeks.

The Muscle Milk/Aston Martin Racing LMP1 car had to be one of the best sounding racecars at the test.
My friend took some awesome action shots of the cars at the test. More on that later.
